Note to Idiots

Ah, yes. It's that time of year, where people in Georgia start dressing unnecessarily warm, as if the ice age has once again come to torment our tiny planet and the deep South is the epicenter of the deep freeze...

Dear girl who came into my store today,

What the heck is with your shoes?
Were you planning on skiing at some point in the near future? Or perhaps you were planning a weekend romp to Alaska, Canada, or another of our frozen northern neighbors, and you were just breaking them in before the trip. I certainly hope so, considering otherwise, I mean, you would just look plain silly! What's that? Oh, you're not planning a trip to the South Pole... hm. Oh, you think they look cool... interesting.

Just so you know, they don't. And me and my coworkers just had a good laugh at your expense and a moment of silence for all the tiny woodland creatures who had to die for you to have those.

Have a nice day!
MJ

Note to Self: I especially like seeing the girls who wear them with mini-skirts. For real, I imagine their feet must be sweating, but their knees are numb from the cold.

OK, Ignore Mr. "funny sum" above me, but I would TOTALLY rock those boots, yes, with a mini skirt and over-the-knee socks in a snowstorm.

Of course, I'm some sort of freak, and I know it, but still....

I guess in the south I'd avoid the look altogether, but just wanted you to know my fashion leanings. :)

It was 1 degree here today, I think they would be appropriate here! :o) It's the only time I find skinny jeans acceptable for most all women too. (Some women can rock skinny jeans, most can't though!) Great post!

We're supposed to have a "wintery mix" tonight...I don't think that's even a real weather term anywhere but Georgia, lol!
