Down With the Sickness

I was sick all weekend, hence, the lack of posting. I woke up yesterday feeling like I had been run over by a MACK truck...I rolled myself out of bed at 7AM, got breakfast with the cop, went to church (where I ran the soundboard this weekend) falling asleep in the sound room, and then went back home and fell asleep on the couch until 1PM. I sat up and watched some bad movies on tv (Don't worry, not Lifetime movies. Even I never get THAT sick.) until the roommate came home. Then I turned on the Atlanta v Washington baseball game, but turned it off after good ol' Bobby got thrown out of the game for being himself. (I'm still assuming the Braves lost, since they were choking for most of the game.) Then I watched some more bad movies, took a hot bath, and slept all through the night.

I woke up today with a runover-by-a-minivan feeling...

But I really want to see the new Batman movie tonight, so I went to work anyway. I knew if I called in sick I couldn't go to the movie without feeling really bad about it.

So instead, I've parked a bottle of Robitussin on my desk and I cough at anyone who walks by. That way, hopefully, everyone will leave me alone so I can rest at work today.

I'll be posting about my blogathon this coming weekend for most of the week. And I'll be asking you guys to help me get the word out PA-LEASE. So stay tuned to for some mindless tagging.

Note to Self: The cure for the cruds - 2tbsp Robitussin, 2 gel caplets DayQuil, 3 ibuprofen. Administer every four hours until feeling better (or until you just can't feel anything).

I actually recorded a Lifetime movie recently and kicked myself for doing it. I only did it because it was based on a book I'd read and loved, so I thought, hey! But yeah, they butchered it (of course).

CM - I think I know which movie you are talking about, because the story was by a certain female novelist that we have talked about before... and yeah, they did butcher it.... like all their movies...

Not having a soul can sometimes feel like sickness. (So I've heard.) Interestingly enough, "2tbsp Robitussin, 2 gel caplets DayQuil, 3 ibuprofen" is also the cure for not having a soul. So, you just might be on the right track yet. :)

Livin - I always knew Robitussin had other-worldly powers...
