Details of the blogathon....

Matt asked me in one of my last posts, "So what exactly is a Blogathon?"

A blogathon is generally a kind of competition where blogs try to see who can post the most, get the most comments, etc. But this one is different, it's more of a symbolic blogathon, and it's for charity.

This particular blogathon is being hosted by Day of Blogs, where I will be joining 63 other worthy blogs in a venture for donations for our respective causes.

It is a 24 hour blogging extravaganza, where my tired butt will be posting every 30 minutes, for a total of somewhere around 50 posts during the event. This is where sponsoring comes in. If you think I may only make it for a few hours, maybe you would like to pledge to donate $2 per post. [Note: Although I can almost guarantee you, I will be around for the whole deal...]

It's kind of like when you did the Jump Rope for Heart thing when you were a kid, or like if you've ever done one of those all-night cancer walks. The basic premise is to push your limits (in this case my mental limits) to show your support for your charity.

I will be putting links in the sidebar to organize all this information, including prizes, how to donate, etc.

Note to Self: Thank you all for your support so far, and please feel free to ask any questions in the comments!

Are you gearing up? Have you been eating extra veggies? Pumping iron?

CM - Lots of veggies and OJ - the orange kind, not the murdering kind. And planning out what the heck I am going to do 50 posts on...

K - LOL. I've been mulling over quite a few things. I'm trying to stick to a central topic, but my brain keeps drifting back to other things... like tacos.
