"Castro is not so bad" and other crazy things....

I know I deserve 40 lashes for not posting yesterday. I'm sure I disappointed all one of my devoted readers. To catch up:

Castro's out (yay!), and his brother is in (boo!). But the coverage of Castro's resignation (read: oldness) has some newscasters scrambling for things to say. This caused some "highly regarded" "news sources" to begin pulling things out of their butt. So, CNN had an email floating around to make sure their newscasts stayed more politically correct than critical of the old tyrant:

“Please note Fidel did bring social reforms to Cuba – namely free education and universal health care, and racial integration. [sic] in addition to being criticized for oppressing human rights and freedom of speech.” See the whole email here.

John Derbyshire over at NationalReview.com had this to say:
“Wherever there is a jackboot stomping on a human face there will be a well-heeled Western liberal to explain that the face does, after all, enjoy free health care and 100 percent literacy.”

Exactly. What the heck is with all the political correctness? The man was awful. Don't hope for the embargo against Cuban goods to end anytime soon either. There are plenty of hopeful people out there who are itching for their cigars (does Cuba even make anything else?), but Castro's brother is just as bad. And he won't be ready to step down (read: super-old) for another decade or so. I predict an increase in people floating to America on doors and makeshift rafts in the next decade.

Speaking of crazy countries, snappedshot.com has been keeping up with all the lunatics who are protesting Denmark over a reprinting of a comical drawing of the prophet Muhammed. Too bad the protestors aren't cool enough to have spell check. End recial discrimination!

Also, the protesting crazies are now raging against America and its blasphemous Wikipedia. Check out the second picture. Wikipedia's reponse? Freedom of thought, speech and all that. In essence, quit your bitchin'! Besides, how do they know about Wikipedia anyway? They obviously don't have computers, or they would use spell check.

I understand their outcry, because the creating of images of Mohammed is blasphemous to them, etc. HOWEVER, I don't know how they do things in Denmark, but here in America we do believe in freedom of speech. Besides, people make blasphemous images of Christ all the time, and you don't see us killing people over it do you?

Case and point - a nativity made with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as cats, while cute little Doggie angels look on. And there are tons more of these featuring bears, birds, mice, etc. You name it.

Blasphemous? Sure. But we don't go around burning flags and blowing up things because of it.

Seriously, let it go.

America is apparently very good at blowing things up. We took out a Russian satellite that had toxic fuel on board before it came crashing into the earth possibly killing many. Read the article about how much precision and timing this took. Craziness. Now, watch the video:

Now just think. If we could do that. We could definitely hit very large countries. I'm with FrankJ over at IMAO that we need to show this power off more often. Next target: the moon.

Note to Self: Sometimes protesters and terrorists are funny.

Jesus as a kitten...this is probably where cats got the idea that they are gods.
