Busy-ness

So yeah, it's been a while.

Lord knows I've been super busy. I finished my first semester of MBA classes, coming out with a pretty nice GPA. Doug has graduated from mandate school, and he had his first patrol shift with his FTO last night. I've finally moved into my new apartment. And now I am just working towards skating through the holidays at work.

Needless to say, I am a bit exhausted. I'm in desperate need of the Christmas break coming up, and I'm excited that Doug is getting to take it off too. I have all my presents bought - pretty much anyway, and I only have a few that I actually have to wrap. I bought the whole family Lion King tickets, and I got Doug a few more things to go with that.

It's really strange living in an apartment. There are a lot more noises - especially since I have upstairs neighbors that apparently like to stomp around - and my car is always covered in ice on cold mornings. I really was spoiled by having a garage.

Well, Doug has a few days off this week, and Morgan is going to be out of town until Christmas day. So, I'm hoping he will get some time to stay with me. I still haven't quite decided what I'm going to do about this weekend. Doug and I usually go to Rome, but I'm thinking I may drive down to Jacksonville to spend some time with dad and Pam for the holiday.

I'm soo broke right now. Between Christmas and paying off my credit cards, I'm drowning a bit. But I'm hoping to get back on track after the holidays are over. I did get a nice little raise a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping that will offset some of my expenses.

Best get back to work. I will try to write more often.

Note to Self: Holiday cheer is like dark chocolate. Oh so good in small portions, but take in too much and it will make you puke.
