So I know it has been far too long since I posted last. Just so much going on these days! I'll list the top ten things that have happened to me since the last post in handy-dandy numbered format:
(10) I have successfully moved into my new place with Morgan, and everything is just peachy along those lines.
(9) I even have my room all decorated.
(8) I got through the roughness of the holidays. I even got a new dog out of it! A Yorkshire Terrier, and he is so tiny. A little ball of fire, I must say. He and Oliver get along amazingly.
(7) I also got great grades in last semester's MBA classes - my new classes are at least entertaining, unlike last semester's.
(6) I've gotten my second raise in 9 months.
(5) I had my first car wreck ever in January - that was a barrel of laughs.
(4) I got my car fixed.
(3) I avoided suit from the person who I hit. Let me just clarify that I didn't hit her ugly car hard enough to even put a nice scratch on it. Anyway, she claimed neck pain. SURPRISE. SURPRISE. But her doctor said it was a load of crap, so I didn't have to pay for anything.
(2) I got through the biggest event-planning job of my life in January. Feeding, entertaining, and keeping 180 people happy is not as easy as it sounds.
(1) I've been wading through all the nastiness of the election crap since the beginning. And for the first time ever, I have actually been completely interested in politics. It is just such a frightening and unstable time, and it's a really frightening race. We don't have a whole lot to choose from these days. My choices have already left the race, and all that is left on the "conservative" side is two non-conservatives: one a cranky old man, the other a scary evangelical (Yes, I know, Paul is still "in the race," but no... he's not really. All you hear of him these days are the crazy rantings of his supporters. RON PAUL!!! RON PAUL!!! PON RAUL!!!!!1!!!!11!!). Sadly, I would have voted for Edwards - and his pretty hair, Eduardo (yes, I named it) - over either of these fools, but he's dropped out too. This leaves the democrats with a naive humanitarian and a heartless bitch with ideas that make less sense than a priest in a strip club.
It's anyone's guess what this horrible turn of events called an election process will lead us to by the end of this year. If McCain picked Fred! as a running mate, I would be delighted to vote for him.
Needless to say, we won't have the option like we did in '04 to choose the lesser of two evils (or the least retarded, depending on how you look at it). Instead we will have to choose who is the least likely to let other countries take us over and/or nuke us.
Note to Self: Electing a good President is easy and fun! Easy like thermodynamics. Fun like dental drilling.
