Note to Idiots

Dear people who hold my hand entirely too long to look at my ring,

It's really creepy.
You've got a death grip on my arm like you're ready to rip it out of it's socket at any time. When I try to pull away, that means it's time to let go.

Please let go.
LET GO.

The bride-to-be,
MJ

Note to Self:
Seriously, LET GO BEFORE I HURT YOU.

So your getting hitched (yeh, i can read ;-) ).

I won't tell you what I would do if I was you, but if I could tell myself in the past I would probably say:

1. Smile & Nod and be polite at the ceremony & reception.

2. DO NOT drink more than a couple drinks the whole night.

3. Book a honeymoon flight out LATER than 6:00 AM the next day (or bring a barf bag).

4. Have a smaller, more intimate wedding, rather than 300+ people.

5. Send thank you's out right away (even have them ready before the day).

6. Get allot of sleep the week before; when the relatives start coming in you will have to go out with them.

7. Make a list of what you have to do and go over it with more than one person; you always forget something (don’t forget to stock the limo’s stupid!).

8. Long term: Start planning finances TOGETHER for retirement, housing, babies/college, etc., about a month after the day.

9. ALWAYS plan dates with each other, like at least 1 per week (movies, dinner, walks, etc.). You won't believe how busy your life gets and you forget about this point.

10. You have to say and show how you feel to your other half, every day.

If they also stroke your hand while holding it, then it's creepy.

Stomp on their foot... they'll let go.

Hilarious! Scratch your butt just before you show them the ring...they probably won't hold your hand at all!

I remember that feeling! Creepy!

Yes, the ones that want to try it on...we should hurt them. I had a few of those and I wanted to be like, "really???"

oh, and to add to tooquiet's list, here's my advice: do not, under any circumstance, answer your phone the night before your wedding. Have someone screen all calls and only people with the password can get through to you!

NOYB - Exactly.

CM - Good idea. What should my password be...

PE - LOL.

DES - AWESOME. I hadn't really thought of that.
