Who wouldn't choose this precious dog as Best In Show? Apparently, the Westminster dog show.
The Beagle has never, I repeat NEVER, been chosen for a Best In Show title. Plus, it hasn't gotten a Best Of Group (the hound group) since 1939. This is sad, because very often they pick a poodle for Best In Show. Who like poodles? They're mean and yippy, and most of the time their owners give them that ugly haircut...
Anyway, Beagles have always held a special place in my heart. I mean look at it! IT'S SO CUTE! I would venture to say that the Beagle is one of the cutest dog breeds.
Except for this one. The Yorkshire Terrier definitely has to be the cutest breed out there.
Of course, I'm a little biased since that's my dog right there. But seriously, could YOU tell that face no?
Didn't think so.
The only thing that gets me about Yorkies is the fact that most Yorkie owners (and groomers, for that matter) have the unnecessary urge to put bows on their dog's head. Seriously? A bow?
My Yorkie is male, so no bow for him (even though the groomer always tries), but even if he were female, I still don't think I would subject him to that kind of torture. He can barely stand the jingle of his own collar. I don't know what he would do if he had a bow on his head...
Needless to say, dogs are great companions. This coming from a cat lover. Turns out, cats are just easier to care for, but dogs really rely on you and love you for your effort. (I'm feeling a top ten post for tomorrow.)
Gotta say, dogs rule (thanks Pedigree), and now you can show the world dogs rule by going to dogsrule.com and getting your very own dogs rule gear. For everything they sell, Pedigree makes a donation to shelters to help with adoptions. If that's not enough of a reason to help out, watch this:
That commercial always makes me want to run out and get a pup!
I know I got mine from a breeder, so I'm a bit hypocritical, but I did get it from a very humane breeder that doesn't breed her dogs very often. Plus, she looooooooves her dogs. It's not just some puppy farm: dogwoodkennel.org
Now one of the best Pedigree commercials I've seen yet:

Well, Uno, I know Snoopy is very proud of you for winning Best in Show. Anything to keep those dang poodles out of the winner's circle!
Note to Self: Nobody wants to be the crazy old lady with all the cats. Ever hear of the crazy old lady with lots of dogs? No. There's a reason for that.
