So, it's finally Wednesday. I got through my first MBA class project yesterday - a presentation/class lecture on motivation in leadership. I have to say that my group had the best presentation thus far.
Nothing much going on but the ho-hum life. My aunt finally sold her house, but she doesn't close until the end of October. Mom is hoping to close on the new place some time next week - meaning I will be mom free for almost a whole month! Yay! Maybe that will give me enough time to learn to tolerate her again... maybe.
Work has been kind of boring, but it's given me enough free time to reflect on a lot of things, critique my author friend's latest novel (awesome so far), and spend time looking for potential birthday and Christmas gifts online.
I feel like I'm in a pretty good mood today. I'm skipping my MBA class tomorrow night. My boyfriend's roommate is graduating from the county sheriff's mandate school, and we are taking a trip up there to support him. So, I'm glad I don't have to sit through Finance for once. That's just one business subject I can never get myself excited about.
I think part of my good mood is due to the fact that I will be getting to sit around this weekend with Doug. I'll just spend the night with him Friday night (mostly because my heathen cousins are going to visit my aunt and stay the night - no thanks), and then we can hang out for the weekend. I can't wait.
Note to Self: The best vacations are the ones that you don't have to plan for, and where you don't actually leave the house. Close friends, lots of sleep, a little entertainment, and good food are all it takes for a great weekend.
