Note to Idiot

Dear me, myself, and I:

What were you thinking, buying the cop a gun for his engagement gift? Seriously?!

I know he's been joking about carrying a gun at the wedding, but really why would you think it was a good idea to give in to that. Now that's some serious love.

And now you've plopped down a chunk of change to get him a stainless Colt 1911 with black aluminum grips that he will be carrying as he watches you walk down the aisle, as you say your vows, and as you dance the night away.

Really... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

Well at least you can get it permanently engraved so he can never sell it. Plus, it's in your name, so it's technically yours anyway. And you can definitely say that you don't know anyone else who was packing heat at their wedding...

You just had to be unique didn't you.
MJ

At least he doesn't want to wear camoflage and cut the reception short to go deer hunting...

Rachel - No, it's the cop thing. I don't get it, but *shrug* it's him I guess. And I love him so... whatever....

SM - I know! I wanted to get him a watch, but he already has a nice one that his dad handed down to him. And I'm not going to buy him a watch he won't wear... I can understand the allure of the military wedding. It's just not the same when it's a police uniform...

Maki - Oh, well head here to GA and you'll find plenty of real guns lol. We cling to guns like Californians cling to breast implants...

Franco - Yeah, I know... Happy Halloween to you as well!

TIW - No kidding. He's not much of a hunter anyway though. I don't think he's even gone the whole time we've been dating.

What were you thinking....you were thinking, what would make my man happy...and that was the answer...
And a happy man is SOOOO much easier to live with than a grumpy man...
But goofball - doesn't he read your blog??

Hi MJ,

Good gods girl but you have great taste in guns! If the cop doesn't worship at your feet, at least a little bit, after the gift of such a fine firearm, you let me know and I'll put him on my list of asses that need kicking. You rule girl!

Nothing wrong with being unique and/or carrying a gun at the wedding so long as he can be trusted with a firearm around where alcohol is being served. Since he is a cop, I'm going to assume he can. ;) I think it's sweet that you got it engraved.
