Friends

I want to talk some more about the ladies at Police Wives Online.

We are not only a community of ladies who are bound by the common thread of the "thin blue line," we all genuinely care about each other.

Most of us have never met, and we are scattered all over the nation, and the world even! We come from all different backgrounds. We're all different ages. We're in all different stages of life. We all come to PWO for different reasons, but we all experience the same loving connection.

When you first arrive, usually ladies have sought o
ut the site because of a problem - fears, marital issues, a general sense that others just don't understand - the ladies at PWO are quick to put you in your place, to slap you back to your senses, to pick you up by your collar and shake you - to then only gently place you back down, pat you on the back, give you the biggest hug you can get over the internet, and say "welcome home."

Although there are always exceptions to the rule, most of us grow stronger in these relationships. We find a strength we didn't even know we possessed before.

And in the process, we have found lifelong friends who console when you cry, celebrate when you succeed, and are brutally honest when necessary.

Personally, I'm not sure what I would do without them.

That's just one more reason I support HUGS.

This reminds me that one of my good friends there - Amy - got married today. Congratulations, Amy! I hope your big day was everything you hoped it would be. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!
