Ba, ba, da, da....

Ba, ba, da... Ba, da, da, da.... Ba-ba, da, da, da!

So, I went and saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull yesterday, and now I have the theme song permanently engraved into my memory - all thanks to the two guys in the car ride to and from the movie repeatedly humming the tune...

I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. I was afraid it may have become a cheesy knock-off of the awesome past, and I was very nervous at the thought that it may bring me to feel anything less than deep, passionate love for Mr. Ford.

Some of the scenes were a little overdone, and my friends and I discussed some of the little filming mistakes that we saw, but I liked the plot a lot overall. It entailed the mythical and mysterious past that I enjoy reading about, along with some of the impossible-craziness that Indiana films are known for.

I was a little disappointed with Dr. Jones' sparse use of his whip, but [note: slight spoiler alert] I was extremely excited about the allusion to Shia LaBeouf's return as the "new" Indie. No one could possibly ever wear a brown fedora like the scrumptious Harrison, but I like Shia, and I think he's growing into his acting skills quite nicely.

Note to Self: Yes, Harrison is more than twice my age, but I seriously could watch the man all day, as long as he is sporting his five-o-clock shadow, his famous hat, and a smudge of dirt on his cheek. It's worth going to see the movie just to see how well he has aged. Haaaawt.
