The Untold Story

If a politician doesn't want something talked about, we all know that the New York Times will run it into the ground with publicity.

Although I have to say that I didn't know this, and it makes me like John McCain a little.

His son is apparently in Iraq. What better reason to support something than when you actually have something to lose in it. This is where the Dems generally fail.

I understand why he isn't talking about it - he doesn't want to use that kind of thing as his platform - but I really think it would help him out in the long run if he at least mentioned every now and then.

Note to Self: It's easy to say something like a war is pointless or awful, and it's easy to criticize military personnel or call them baby killers when neither you nor your children have a vested interest or first person vantage of what the media does not show.
