"Procrastination is opportunities assassin." Victor Kiam
I don't know much about you Victor (although I will probably look you up on Wikipedia later), but you are so right.
Procrastination does kill opportunity. And my procrastination has brutally tortured, raped, pillaged, and murdered opportunity in the most brutal way possible. I have pulled the fingernails off of opportunity one-by-one with pliers, water-boarded it FBI style, and then slit its throat.
Lovely image, I'm sure.
But no, really. I have known about this law paper for probably three weeks now. It's due tonight and... I HAVE NOT WRITTEN A SINGLE WORD. I just can't find the motivation, I suppose. It's one of those open-ended - "tell me what you learned in my class this semester" - I want to kill my professor for giving me no guidelines if I don't kill myself first from boredom- close my eyes and point to random things in the textbook - kind of paper.
So, now I'm at work with absolutely no hope whatsoever for starting the paper until sometime this afternoon. It's due tonight at midnight, and I can already imagine myself being up writing it until clicking the Submit button at 11:59pm. Good thing I thrive under pressure.
So, I may fail at blogging again today - although to be honest, I will probably use this as another procrastination tool.
Note to Self: STILL, 0 words down, 2500 to go.
