Morals-Shmorals

Back in my day of being forced to watch GI Joe and Batman for endless hours by my older brother, we weren't really concerned with the morality of the cartoons we watched. We only watched them for the gratuitous violence, duh.

Of course, every child psychologist on the planet would figure that, after watching these as a kid, I should definitely have committed mass murder by now. Or at the very least be biting the heads off of chickens. I mean, playing Super Mario Brothers on my NES has definitely made me enjoy banging my head into bricks that hover in the air.

Anywho, here's a great list by Cracked.com of 8 Important Lessons Learned From 80's Cartoons.

They include the Smurfs (Communism is Good), Popeye (Spinach is Comparable to HGH), and He-Man (Being Gay is OK) among others. You'll laugh your proverbial butt off. I just wish they would have delved into the radiation fall-out effects of the Care Bear stare.

Note to Self: Find out what kind of drugs the creators of The Smurfs were on. Get some.
